Our organization is a non-profit interdisciplinary community that is active in the support and training of group therapy for mental health professionals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. DGPS was founded in the 1950's and offers an active, supportive, friendly environment for both professional and personal enrichment. Several of our founding members still hold active membership in DGPS which speaks to the richness of learning and connection in this organization.

MISSION STATEMENT
Dallas Group Psychotherapy Society is formed in order to advance knowledge, research and training in group psychotherapy for professionals and public benefit, to provide a network for peer support, to advocate the highest standards and ethics in group psychotherapy practice, and to promote the appropriate use of group modalities in human service.
